About us

A school that grew out of snowboarding

Ski, snowboard and telemark at Sestriere, in the heart of the Vialattea: about thirty instructors who live this mountain every day.

Choosing a ski school means choosing the people you’ll spend your days on the snow with. So we start with our instructors, and with how we match them to the people who come to us.

YES Academy in numbers

Our story

From five snowboard instructors to about thirty, always on the pistes of Sestriere.

  1. Five snowboard instructors start the school, because snowboarding had no room in the traditional ski schools.

  2. The school opens up to skiing.

  3. We merge with Northwest Ski Academy, the school on the other side of the road.

  4. Today

About thirty instructors, on skis, snowboard and telemark.

Our culture

What counts is who you ride with, not what you ride

YES Academy grew out of snowboarding. When we opened up to skiing, that culture came with us, and today it goes for telemark too.

On skis or on a board, what makes the difference is the people you go down with: your instructor, the group, your friends.

How we match you

The right instructor, chosen for you

Your instructor isn’t down to chance. Our office builds every match on the age, language, character and goals of the person taking the lesson.

Getting over a fear, becoming independent fast, unlocking one technical move: different goals, different instructors. And if you got on well with someone, you can ask for them again.

Sestriere and the Vialattea

Over 200 pistes, one lift pass

Sestriere sits at the centre of the Vialattea: over 200 pistes linking Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Pragelato, Claviere and Montgenèvre.

You’ll find us at the Tappeto Jolly magic carpet, at the bottom of the Sestriere lifts. On our Experiences, the Vialattea itself becomes the lesson.
